Lautaro Martínez Double Keeps Inter Milan in Pursuit of Frontrunners
Inter striker Lautaro Martínez scored a late brace to earn his team a 2-0 win at Pisa, keeping the away side firmly involved in the Serie A title race in spite of a less than convincing display.

Under Cristian Chivu, Inter now are placed third in the standings with 27 points, tied with second-placed Roma and only one point adrift of leaders Milan. In contrast, Pisa occupy the third bottom position with 10 points.

However, they were made to battle all the way by promoted Pisa. The hosts generated plenty of chances, but a clinical Inter scored the opener in the 69th minute mark when Argentine Martínez drilled a first-time shot into the roof of the net. The forward then finished from point-blank with seven minutes remaining.
The team’s ability to convert even with pressure proved crucial in securing the victory.
