The striker joined the Gunners from Sporting during the offseason

Gunners forward Viktor Gyokeres was left out from the new manager's initial Sweden squad, whereas Reds striker Alexander Isak has earned selection

The Arsenal forward is due to undergo further assessments this week amid worries of a hamstring injury during Arsenal's Premier League win at the Clarets last weekend

Gyokeres sat out Arsenal' European win versus Slavia Prague earlier this week

Alexander Isak Makes Comeback

Isak, who hasn't featured from late October due to a groin problem, has been chosen for World Cup qualifying fixtures versus the Swiss team (November 15th) plus the Slovenian side (November 18th)

Additional England-based Inclusions

  • Spurs midfielder Lucas Bergvall, who is recovering after a head knock
  • Newcastle wide player the Swedish international

Both athletes were included in Potter's England-based contingent named under ex- Brighton, Chelsea and West Ham boss the new Swedish coach

Potter's Role

Potter took over the Swedish federation first for an interim period in late October, under four weeks following he was dismissed by West Ham

Former coach Jon Dahl Tomasson was sacked following Sweden's 1-0 loss against the Kosovan team in mid-October, a result that ended automatic qualification from qualifying group unattainable

Present Position

Sweden are currently last place in Group B with only a single point in their opening four games

Even if they don't manage to claim the runner-up spot, there remains a chance they might participate in the secondary qualification as a result thanks to their showing in the latest Nations League
