Two Individuals Accused Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack

Formal charges have been brought against two men in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.

A young child was one of the people hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
